Why We're Here
Those engaged in ministry understand the profound impact Scripture has no matter the context or setting. Ask them! They will tell you that the author of Hebrews was right when he says the Word of God remains alive and active to this day. Whether in worship, Bible studies, classrooms, or conference halls, Scripture speaks powerfully to every corner of the globe. But how does this profound book remain active? Does it thrive on its own, or is it the case that God is still calling upon His people – just as He did with the prophets and apostles of old – to carry His Word to all peoples, tribes, and nations?
At Scripture in Motion, we believe that God has equipped us with diverse gifts and talents, and one way He calls us to use them is to bring the Word of God to life in different forms—whether spoken, acted out, read in various languages, or, in our case, through animated videos.
God’s Word is a beautifully complex book, yet at its heart, it carries a clear and simple message: the Gospel story of Jesus Christ. We believe that animation has the unique ability to capture both the depth and simplicity of this profound story, bringing the words of Scripture to life through the visual language of our society today.

Meet the Founder

As David Schlecht prepared for college at Concordia Wisconsin, he pondered whether his calling was to follow in the pastoral footsteps of his dad or to pursue his passion for videography. His parents offered him advice that would shape his life and career:
“You are being called into active ministry no matter what path you choose.”
With that wisdom in mind, David plunged into videography, eventually finding his niche in motion graphics and animation. It was through this work that he launched his own contracting business, Undaunted Motion.
During this time as a freelancer, David identified a gap within the global church’s resources: high- quality, animated video content of pure Scripture. Inspired by his parents’ early guidance, he combined his two greatest passions of animation and ministry by founding Scripture In Motion.
David’s journey is supported by his wife, Cassie, and fueled by love for his daughter, Eva, and their loyal German shepherd, Maple.
